Circa 1878
Charles R. Parsons Birds-Eye View of San Francisco
Reproduced by Anchor Brewing Company from a rare original 1878 Currier & Ives chromolithograph, courtesy of the Library of Congress. It represented the prints to be sold at Bernard
McQuillans Depot for Currier & Ives Pictures in San Franciscos Grand Hotel. On Pacific Street, one block from Larkin Street Presbyterian Church, was a little brewery that would one day become known as Anchor. The entire neighborhood burned in 1906.
