At Anchor, we pride ourselves on our quality control
and our pioneering role in bringing modern QC technology
to very small breweries. In the 1960s, Anchor was
perhaps the most primitive small brewery in the world,
and by 1971the year we began bottling Anchor
Steamwe had perhaps the most modern small brewery
in the world, with state-of-the-art quality control systems
in place. In our lab is a portrait of Louis Pasteur, whose
Études sur la Bière, 1876, was one
of the great milestones in the history of science.
