San Francisco's famous Anchor Steam®, the classic of American brewing tradition since 1896, is virtually handmade, with an exceptional respect for the ancient art of brewing. Every year since 1975, Anchor Brewing Company has produced a "Christmas Ale" which is available in extremely limited quantities, between Thanksgiving and New Year's. Each year features a new label and a new recipe. The Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman's Wharf, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, cable cars, fresh crab, sourdough bread, and Anchor Steam®.
